Hatching

[Darkey]

*The egg burst open.Then Darkey rolled out.But his morther was gone.She died protecting him.But he hatched late.His siblings were long gone.He twiched and sneezed.Then he let out a chorus of noises*EEER EEEERRR EEEEERRRR*It didnt do him any good though.So he sat incontently.He wished for his mother.Now alone he didnt know what to do,so he wandered off*

[Darkey]

One week later
*Darkey started to starve.He wouldnt live much longer.He only found ocassional puddles but those werent enough.He was low on resorces and it was killing him.Atlast he fainted and colapsed on the ground.*

[Raven]

*flys by toward the volcano*

[Darkey]

*Darkey lifts his head with all his stength.Sees the dragon and screeches.When Darkey realized the dragon didnt realize he was there his head dropped.Darkey was to tired to move now and lay spawled on the moss*

[Raven]

*swoops back in*

*smells the air, scenting a new dragon*

*Stalks around until I spot the other dragon*

[Darkey]

*Darkey slumped and twiches at the dragon.He opened his mouth to show he was starving.But he wasnt strong enough to do that long.His head dropped and he sighed.In a high pitch voice he said*Just eat me now

[Raven]

*eyes turn deep red*

*Opens mouth showing fangs*

*dashes off*


*returns with a small rabbit*

*Nudges it toward the other dragon*

[Darkey]

*Darkey looked at it*I have only a few teeth

[Raven]

*sighs* Then I have no food for you......*starts to walks off*

[Darkey]

*Darkey twiches*OH SIGHmy mothers dead and no one cares

[Raven]

*backs away* I am sorry to hear that....*Glances behind me* Maybe I should go......*Flys to my volcano*

[Darkey]

*Darkey twitched and tryed to drag himself to the open.Maybe his pain would end soon.Not soon enough though.Later in the day Darkey had so little strength he couldnt even lift his head.His pain forced tears from his eyes.As he began to sob he realized he might not have much longer.*I WAN MY MOMMA

[Raven]

*lands nearby*

What can I do to help...................?????

*Tilts head and whips tail*

[Darkey]

*Darkey was too dehydraited to talk so he made a grunting noise.But it made no difference so he closed his eyes and wined softly.*

[Raven]

*looks around, unsure what to do*

[Ocean]

*lands next to the young hatchling with a small deer and some moss full of water*
Is the hatchling still alive?

[Raven]

*shrugs* Idk.

[Ocean]

*bends closer to the dark dragon*
Its still breathing..
*nudges the wet moss towards the hatchling*
Come on..Drink this

[Sphinx]

*trots in* wats wrong? *sees the dragon* oh no..... *has an idea* *sees the rabbit* *crushed it under meh feet then chewed it to a pulp* *spits it out near the hatchling* eat this to.

[Ocean]

*smiles*

*looks at ocean and sphinx*

Looks like you have this under control......

*Flys to the volcano*

[Darkey]

*Darkey quivered and looked at the food.He dragged himself over and nibbled at it.With the bit of strength he had he ate and drank.Last he curled up and slept.*

Some hours later

*Darkey woke up and crawled around.He wondered if his reascuers were still there.Though his had blurry vision at the moment he felt renewed.But he was still weak.*Are you here?*He questioned in his high-pitch voice.Once his vision cleared he flapped his wings in an atempt to fly to see above the trees.It didnt work so he just made a nest in the roots of a tree and hid.*

[Raven]

*flys back in*

*looks for ocean and Sphinx*

*Sees the little dragon*

Hey darkey........You ok?

*Curls tail around my feet*

[Darkey]

*Darkey twitched and smiled*Im doing better thank you for asking*He slid out from the roots and spoke again*I gotta go somewhere

*blinks bright silver eyes* Where?
